When returns to Showtime next month, fans will see the Botwins taking a new path - straight out of town.

Last summer’s deadly finale will result in new adventures for both the family and the comedy’s writers in Season 6.

“You have to reinvent the show. Now we’re about to send the characters fleeing on the road so you have the opportunity to make new characters, new personas,” executive producer Victoria Morrow explained at a Comic-Con panel. “[It’s] basically a decimation of all the Botwins’ work and a rebirth.”

Will the White House Interfere with Lost’s Premiere?

UPDATE: It appears the White House will stay clear of February 2nd.

Note to all you fans out there: If those folks inside the White House don’t play nicely, we may be forced to wait for our Season 6 premiere.

Although the networks have managed to plan out their schedules (for the most part) months in advance, organizers in D.C. have a bit more difficulty getting things pinned down. As of today, President Obama’s administration has slated either January 26 or February 2 as the day for Obama’s first State of the Union speech. Should they choose to go with the latter date, we probably won’t be going back to the island until February 9.

Are you as irked as a I am? If so, feel free to join the masses by tweeting with the hashtag #NoStateofUnionFeb2. In the meantime, get a recap of the first five seasons in approximately 8 minutes.

Project Runway to Air this Summer on Lifetime

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Cable, News,

Project Runway's Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum

is finally back in style.

After months of litigation between NBC Universal (owner of Bravo), The Weinstein Company and Lifetime, the hit reality show now has somewhere to go. Starting this summer, Season 6 will air on Lifetime.

The trouble began last year when the move to the new cable channel was first announced. NBCU, upset by the loss of its popular program, filed a lawsuit. That action eventually led to countersuits and a preliminary injunction.

Today’s agreement means Runway will be at its second home for at least five seasons. “The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome,” NBC Universal announced in statement.

No start date yet has been announced for the next installment. The Fashion Week finale was taped back in February.

24 Movie in the Works

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Drama, Prime Time, 24, Renewals,

24, Kiefer SutherlandThe writers’ strike not only put the 2008 season of 24 on hold, it forced the creators to develop a whole new story.

Although Season 7 of the staple is not scheduled to debut until January 2009, the producers are crafting a two-hour movie to help tide us over in the meantime.  The special, slated to air this fall, will be a way of filling in the time gaps between the last season and the next.

Eight episodes were already in the can prior to the work stoppage; those hours will be part of the upcoming season. This means a whole new script will have to crafted for the prequel that will air prior to series’ premiere.  Production on this inclusion will begin in April.

Be expecting to see a few changes when 24 finally marks its return.  In addition to a location change (the show will move from CTU to Washington, D.C.), the show will have a new female president.
